IIT is a private higher education institute specialising in information technology, based in Colombo with branches in Jaffna and Kandy.   The funding from Child Aid Lanka will enable IIT to provide this year-long supplementary course.

Investing in Children’s Future

Child Aid Lanka (CAL) is working with Sri Lankan schools and colleges to establish a project that will provide computer education to students from poor families.

Many families cannot afford to pay for education and many children have had their schooling interrupted by years of unrest.  CAL will fund students aged from 11 to 18 to take a year-long supplementary computer course.  The course will prepare them for further more advanced study and give them the chance of a secure career.
